Patience, Practice, Presence, and Perspective

These four words keep coming up for me. I am in the midst of a major death/birth cycle. In the inbetween. So unsure of what is coming, and not at all what I used to be. This happens to all of us. We haven't been taught the tools to navigate times like these so when people these days find them shifting identity, having ego deaths, or just changing as a person but having no clue who or what they are changing into it can be quite the crisis. It's hard. But it's growth.

Redefining "Work"

What does work mean to you? Does your definition of work provide you with the energy and freedom to live and share your heart's gifts? Do you feel guilty if you "indulge" in what you actually want to do? Do you try to get work done before you go off and do the things you enjoy? Do you feel like you need to earn your enjoyments? I am learning that my enjoying give life to my most potent work, and my enjoyments are actually where most of my inspiration for best work live. I am learning that my enjoyments are my needs. Trust and (True) Confidence are Everything

One of the biggest themes and lessons i've been learning in 2018 so far is to truly trust in mySelf. We can never trust if we are in a state of insecurity and unworthiness. Last May I set the intention to dive into my insecurity, get to the root of it, and to begin REALLY healing it. The reason I set that intention was because I wanted to become truly confident, but knew that if I didn't acknowledge my insecurity, I would never be confident.

It's Not About Being Perfect, It's About Not Being Perfect

As I prepare to launch  From The Heart I am witnessing feelings of doubt, insecurity, not-enoughness and worry arising. There are what if's coming up that want to keep me held back from putting my vulnerable self out into the world. My "loyal soldier* (sub personality)" as Bill Plotkin calls it is trying to keep me safe so I don't traumatize my vulnerable, most authentic self in ways I did when I was an innocent, and extremely sensitive child. The more I tap into these feelings the more I realize that I MUST move forward, I must breakthrough, that these feelings no longer are going to have me by the ball and chain. The time is now for us to put our gifts out into the world.
